Brightness on battery using XFCE4

Hi,
Is there any chance to change the brightness on the screen to full even when on battery power?
I cant find it xfce...

I thought that with no laptop-mode-tools installed the screen brightness just stays unchanged. Something must react to the acpi events to dim the screen, it doesn't happen by itself.

Did you try moving the slider on xfce4-power-manager -> On Battery -> Monitor -> Reduce screen brightness when compuer is inactive for:

Have you tried not using xfce4-power-manager? XFCE4 thankfully doesn't change the brightness on my laptop... (God I *hate* gnome-power-manager that renders me blind each time I try a Gnome-based distro...)
