Firefox Uninterruptible

For some reason whenever I try to run firefox, as either user or root firefox never loads and the status reads uninterruptible. I tried reverting back to three different versions of firefox, however the issue persists in each. A simple reboot obviously ends the process, but next time firefox is loaded, the issue reappears. Any suggestions?

Re: Firefox Uninterruptible

Launch "firefox" from a terminal. Do you get any error messages?, and if yes, post them here...

Re: Firefox Uninterruptible

If I run firefox from terminal as a user, I get no errors, warnings, or messages of any sort (in system monitor it states that the process is waiting channel: call_usermodehelper_exec) .

If I run firefox from terminal as root, I get the following warning and error:

(firefox:2615): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported. **

GLib-GIO:ERROR:gdbusconnection.c:2270:initable_init: assertion failed:(connection->initialization_error == NULL

When running as root, firefox never appears in System Monitor whatsoever.

Re: Firefox Uninterruptible

Seemed to have some success. Removed Firefox, as well as .mozilla in the home directory. Then Reverted back to kernel26-2.6.35.5-1 (from 2.6.35.7-1). Not sure what happened during the kernel upgrade that broke it. Going to try going forward again and seeing if the issue reoccurs.

As suspected, upgrading from 35.5 to 35.7 broke firefox again. Should I just wait until a new kernel version comes out?
