issues mounting root during installation

Hi guys. I have a Dell studio 1555 and im trying to install Arch x86_64. After preparing hard drive (i created partitions for / /var swap and /home) i go through specifying mount point for each partition. So after making ext4 for home var and root and linux swap for swap, arch installation tries to mount each partition but seems having some troubles because it says that can't mount /dev/sda1 on / and freezes  on a screen which says:

phase1: creating filesyste, and block devices
Making ext4 filesystem on /dev/sda1
Making ext4 filesystem on /dev/sda2
.
.
.

phase2: mounting filesystems:
mounting /dev/sda1 on /
mounting /dev/sda4 on /home

Update: after freeze sometimes i get a screen which says "error mounting /dev/sda1 on /mnt

Re: issues mounting root during installation

Have you tried the CD/USB on a virtual machine or another computer? Because I once got a similar problem and the data on the medium were finally corrupted. Just a guess.
