I compiled my very first custom kernel (applaud here).. aswell as new kernel-headers for said kernel.
Do I need to install these headers also? I noticed that VirtualBox complains about incorrect headers for my kernel when I modprobe vboxdrv for example, so I guess I answered my own question kind of.
But, here's the thing. I still have my original -ARCH kernel which I still like to boot on whenever this one messes up as I'm playing.. if I install the kernel headers for my new kernel, will I have to install kernel headers for the -ARCH kernel whenever I'm booting using that?

Post the PKGBUILD you wrote. You may have "installed" the headers without knowing it depending on how your wrote it.

It's the one from ABS, with some small modifications (negative channel patch for airmon-ng). The headers are not installed, as I did not do makepkg -i, just makepkg.

I can install these new headers and rebuild the vboxdrv module, but what happens when I boot into the stock kernel? The headers I build here are not for that kernel, so I would need to use the headers that came with the stock kernel I imagine - whenever booting using that.
If that's the case.. that's gonna get anoying. Boot kernel 1 - install headers 1. Boot kernel 2 - install headers 2.. mm. Is there any way around that?

The headers for each kernel are installed in their own directory in /usr/src, for example
