nouveau-dri causes system freeze during shutdown

I recently switched to the [testing] version of nouveau-dri because of this bug. Everything works nicely now, except my system freezes every time during shutdown. The last message shown is "Unmounting file systems", while /var/log/messages.log shows this:

What is wrong? This is not in any way related to my monitor not providing EDID information, is it?
