I'm in the process of installing Arch again, this time on a device with only 4gb storage on it. Because the amount of space available is so small, I don't want to split it up between /boot, /home, and swap. I'd like to exclude swap altogether and keep all the subdirectories on the same partition. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this using the autopartitioner, and manually setting them up always gives me grub errors. Can anyone give me some pointers on what it is I might need to do to get this to work?

imo 4 gb may be just enough (clear the pkgs which you don't want to roll back in case and choose light weight applications). you don't need not to split the partitions for /home /boot etc.

My root is at 2.8/3.7gb total, and have been for months. Sometimes I have to pacman -Scc, otherwise I'm okay.
