Hello,
I just intalled arch on my laptop and been having problems getting it connected to my wireless ap.
I have followed instructions in the wiki to set up wireless. wlan0 is connecting ("associating") successfully with my AP but when I issue the command dhcpcd wlan0, it is timing out.
I tried using netcfg (saw someone's thread with same problem which was solved by netcfg). But, the same deal, I increased the TIMEOUT and DHCP_TIMEOUT fields to 60, but still netcfg spouts out the DHCP lease failed message.
Any help appreciated.
My wlan0 is correctly detected and also driver loads properly. I have used opensuse for a long time. The dmesg shows that AP deauthenticates with reason 3 locally. I am sensing thats the main source of problem, but how do I go about solving it?
Thanks!

I know there's an alternative to dhcpcd: dhclient
You could try installing it.
Also, have you tried using a network manager like wicd or something?

Thanks for your reply, but I dont know how it got working, but wireless is working now. I really didnt change anything on my installation. I did however logged into my router and fiddled with some channel and power setting. Now my laptop is working properly. I dont know what the issue was previously
