Boot menu missing (SOLVED)

Hi,
I have been using a Dual boot with Arch and WinXp for a couple of years without any problem. Yesterday, I installed Windows 7 on my XP partition ( clean install after formatting the partition)  and since then I am not getting a boot menu on restarting my laptop. I have gone through the Grub wiki and it says I need to comment out the line saying "make active" ( in the menu.1st file inside the grub folder)  if I am using Windows 7. I used a Live CD and modified the menu.1st file in grub, but the problem persists.

My setup is as follows
Windows 7- sda1
Boot - sda2
root- sda3
home-sda5

Could anyone please advise me on how to sort it out?
Thanks

Re: Boot menu missing (SOLVED)

The windows 7 installer killed grub. It's gone. You need to reinstall grub to your MBR.
