DIsabling horizontal scrolling for Swing

Horizontal Scrolling via touchpad does not work well in Swing graphic toolkit. It usuallly causes pressing the right mouse button. How can I disable it for several applications (NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA) or enable for specific apps (The GIMP, Firefox, ...)?
