[SOLVED] no usb storage with kernel26 2.6.36-3

Yesterday I posted about non working usb storage with the kernel26-ck from aur  . It seems though that it manifests it self in kernel26 from testing as well. It works fine with the kernel from the core repository. If there  are any configuration info / logs that can help diagnose it please let me know.

[edit]
seems to be this bug in EHCI when used with  the particular Nvidia 320M (MPC89) chipset: kernel bug 21182. The patch on that page fixes it for me.

Re: [SOLVED] no usb storage with kernel26 2.6.36-3

I just compiled kernel26 2.6.36-3 (x86_64) from testing (with an add'l sound.patch for my hda-intel chip) and I see my usb2 enclosure drive and my 4gig thumbdrive just fine.  I used the make menuconfig option to switch my CPU governor to ondemand from performance and that was it.  Which config file did you use?  Did you modify it?  Did you run make localmodconfig?  I remember using localmodconfig to save some time compiling kernels, but it did not recognize USB drives afterwards.  I just gave up doing that and used the default config and using menuconfig to make one or two changes here and there.

I did not use any custom config for compiling, or localmodconfig. Just  'pacman -S kernel26' with the testing repo enabled.
