It doesn't get much cleaner than this in my system.. not gonna post layouts etc. again, they're on the first page of this forum anyway. I kinda like this new look, blue'ish.

I rewrote the dzen scripts real quick, so others can use them (too much hardcoded before), and added some new icons - aswell as a new wall, and tab colors. I promise to get the configs up soon, I just have to write up a little guide on the xmonad stuff. Requires dzen xft, xmonad-darcs/contrib-darcs, haskell-xft, sm4tik icons etc. etc.

Thanks for hooolding, those I promised :-)

Wallpaper, please?

Is that Awesome?  Also, how did you get your browser so stripped down.

Seems like everyone that posts in the this thread are all about the tiling windows managers.  Its pretty cool compared to the candy cane unusable crap that gets posted on the Ubuntu forums.  Is there a good place that deals with nothing but dot files (like bashrc's, Xdefaults), command line apps, etc.  Only downside to CL apps is its really hard to tell what they are from just looking.  Also, are there any decent word process CL apps that can handle things like margins, etc.  I use vim atm, but my understanding of it is just enough to turn off word wrap, search and edit text.

Re: November 2010 Screenshots

b4t3m4n, there is not "one place" as in one thread or some such, but all over the arch forum you will find threads about commandline applications, about users' configs etc. There is a thread "Post your handy self-made commandline applications" where people post what the title says. Often for configs reading them helps already, since not few of them are somewhat self-explanatory. Concerning vim there is always the inline help of vim ":help somekeyword".
Last but not least, for quick and short questions without enough context for a thread on a forum, there is the #archlinux irc channel on freenode.

Yeah, that was my one quarrel with Tilda. Mind sharing that script and how you set it up?

Re: November 2010 Screenshots

Same as usual - new wallpaper that took all of 10 seconds to create and I fiddled with date format.  At the stage where everything works just how I like it, which is good because everything just works how I like it and bad because I have nothing to fiddle with hmm

If you need something to fiddle with - and you haven't already been there  - try using xmonad-darcs + xmonad-contrib-darcs form the AUR, while keeping an eye on recent updates here: http://code.haskell.org/XMonadContrib/XMonad/  (sort by last update) wink

Nice dwm setup btw.
