I want to keep up with what's going on on these forums, but I don't want to have to be constantly checking back obsessively (as I am now). So the thought of getting forum information delivered via RSS subscription greatly appeals to me.
There are RSS feeds for the forums. My problem is that it's not entirely clear to me how they work or what they contain.
First, there is the "Atom Active Topics Feed", which is linked from the bottom of the main Index page. I am currently subscribed to that, and have been for a couple weeks.
However, in that time I've been unable to figure out what defines an "active topic". Am I getting at least the first post of each new thread? (I seem to be getting many if not most of them.) I'm also getting some follow-up responses to a number of threads, but I'm certainly not getting every post in every thread. Does which ones I get depend on number of views? Or on number of responses in the thread?
Next, there are "Atom forum threads" for each of the subforums, such as this one linked at the bottom of the "Community Contributions" sub-forum. Again, from what I can tell, these don't seem to include every post in the subforum, but it wasn't obvious which ones were included.
The only thing that seems relatively clear are the feeds listed on the bottom of each individual thread, such as the one for this thread. These do seem to contain every post in the thread, as they should.
Anyway, it seems rather un-Arch for the precise details of such things not to be transparent. But I haven't been able to find any info on this. I thought maybe it was a FluxBB standard thing, but I couldn't find anything with a quick search of their site either.

It is. We do not make adjustments to the forum software beyond theming,

Thanks. You don't happen to know where in their documentation there is info about it? (I'll try looking a bit harder myself.)

Their documention seems sparse or non-existant, I would ask on their forums:
