SVG rendering

Since more and more icon themes seem to be svg only, I'm looking for ways of rendering svg in my application. Looking in the arch repository, the only thing I can find is librsvg and libsvg-cairo. The latter seems not been updated since 2005 and librsvg brings in parts of gtk/glib. Are there any other options available?

Re: SVG rendering

Inkscape is an application that can open them natively and edit them.  Gimp can open them by importation, but cannot save to that format.
