[Solved] gpointing-device-settings broken?

I installed this a couple of days ago on my eeePC1000, dieghen89's netbook kernel.
It hasn't shown up in the menu anywhere but did run (once) from the Run command window.
Since that first run, it won't start. I'm getting the following error message from terminal:

"An X error occurred. The error was BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter).
Segmentation fault"

I have installed a couple of other AUR packages since that first run. Something interfering or any suggestions for tracking down the problem?

Thanks

Edit: Solved - sort of. I've removed gpointing-device-settings and installed synaptiks (which is working).
