[SOLVED] Can't use ctrl-right or left with xterm

Hi,

I've always been able to use ctrl-right or ctrl-left to move one word to the right or left with xterm, but i don't know why i can't do it anymore, if I do ctrl-left it will just type ;5D or ;5C for ctrl-right, this is really an annoying behaviour, and I have no idea what caused it.

I don't remember messing with my .bashrc or anything, so i really have no idea what may have caused this... I thought it might be a broken package, but it's been about a week or so so I guess it would have been fixed if it was just that.

Any idea anyone ?

[EDIT] Ok nm i fixed it, I was trying to fix it by modifying /etc/inputrc but it wasn't working, so I had the idea to just modify ~/.inputrc by adding these two lines;

"\e[1;5C": forward-word
"\e[1;5D": backward-word

and it works, so I guess that's as good a solution as any, but these lines already exists in /etc/inputrc, so i really wonder why it wasn't working in the first place ?

Thanks! I was having the same issue with Konsole, and this solved it as well. So nobody knows why this sudden change of behavior took place?
