I've been using pacman at the command prompt, but in an effort to create a full fledged desktop, I was wondering if anyone has used GNOME PackageKit and if there are any limitations to using it over plain ol' pacman?

see -> http://www.packagekit.org/pk-matrix.html (the alpm column).
From personal experience, I always install a GUI package manager, never use it, and the remove it because they tend to be slow and harder to use than their CLI counterparts.

Cool, thanks Stebalien. So that's pretty much just about everything pacman can do. I think i agree though. I'm just going to stick with CLI management.
The only reason i'd install a GUI package manager is for the sake of simplicity if i'm setting up computers for family of friends who aren't computer savvy at all, etc.
