Re: November 2010 Screenshots

Posting just to say how amazing I think this is. Absolutely breathtaking.

This is really odd for me to love a KDE screenshot. I'm usually your typical, run-of-the-mill "I HATE KDE." minimalistic sort of type. I love minimalistic setups with no DE backend (I personally use PekWM standalone as my setup of choice) even though my desktop could most certainly handle KDE and all it's got to throw at me. Whenever I see a typical KDE screenshot I usually think it's too glossy or too flashy. Just not my type of thing. I like smooth flowing window borders and controls.

THIS, however, fits my tastes exactly. This is amazing. The smoothness is just so attractive I have to try it. First thing on the list tonight when I get home from work is to install Arch in a VM, install KDE, and check this out. Hell, if i like it enough, I may just make myself an install for it.

This is KDE done right, in my opinion. Awesome job, flamelab. Keep 'em coming.

Also...@cloudef:  Mind sharing the method you went about getting the quake-like console via urxvt used in this shot? http://i54.tinypic.com/4g68ol.png Does it have animation (i.e. sliding down from the top/bottom of the screen and sliding back out) or does it just appear?
