I hope this is the right forum section, I AM looking at a hardware problem after all (for all I know)...
My wifes PC keeps turning itself off. From one second to the other, no shutdown, no reboot. Now, I am half expecting some kind of heat problem, so I fired up lm_sensors again, and this is the read I get:

Now, the CPU was not exactly cold, but she was playing WoW for about an hour at the time. What I don't know what to read into though is those ALARM thingies. Does anyone know how much I should be worried about them?

64deg C is getting relatively warm, still within boundaries, but if your CPU heat sink and CPU fan are working properly they should be keeping the temp below 60 and even preferably below 50degC. Most systems though, will not shut down until the CPU gets hotter than 70degC. Reboot your machine, get into the BIOS and check the CPU shutdown temperature settings there. Perhaps it is set for 65deg?
Still, if it were my machine I would be checking the heat sink, fans and CPU die to heat sink thermal compound as I would not like such high temps myself for extended periods of time.

As per what Lagagnon said but look at your BIOS CPU fan speed settings too, as most modern BIOS's have 3 settings for CPU fan speed,
Silent - low speed fan setting
Normal - adjusts fan speed with CPU load
Performance - full out fan speed for max cooling
Make sure CPU heatsink fins are not covered in dust - if they are give it a good blow out.
Ambient room temp plays its part too - warm room = warm PC
Consider bigger heatsink/fan combo for increased cooling. I got myself a Corsair water cooler and it lowered my CPU temps by over 20C

Thanks for the answers, folks. But as I wrote, the PC does not shut down, it just turns off, like someone flipped a switch or the breaker blew. In my - limited, yes - experience, that is not normal, even for a hot CPU, right?
In any case, I cleaned the thing out inside (amazing how much fuss and dust the average PC collects while running) and right now, after admitedly only 10 minutes of running, no WoW, the CPUs are at 24 and 30 degrees.
Those alarms above still popp up in sensors, that is what I am a bit confused / worried about. Any input on those?

I had an old 7900GTX, and I broke a crappy plastic pushpin on a heatsink when I moved it to a new computer to use it for a third monitor. The computer would suddenly shut off under certain loads (displaying a lot of stuff on the 3rd monitor...). Eventually, I took everything apart, and found the heatsink hanging off the 2nd video card.
Also, if it is the GPU, I don't think a "clean" emergency shutoff can happen. The PSU just decides to cut power because otherwise it would light on fire due to the power draw.
Could also just be the PSU...

In that case you may want to look at getting a good quality (higher wattage) rated power supply as that sounds as if your current PSU is failing under load too.
