I've dual-boot arch/kubuntu. Kubuntu is a system i used last 3 years on my laptop. But Arch is amazing
the only thing which stops me from moving to it 100% is TV from my Internet provider. I'm using Kaffeine (which has a xine as a backend afaik ). The quality is poor... here is a screenshot: http://piccy.info/view3/733374/d85e6ff3 … e3109dd80/
I've no more idea how to fix this. Please advice...

Wild guess: Kaffeine uses v4l1 instead of v4l2. You can try mplayer or xdtv (AUR).
mplayer
mplayer -vo xv -vf pp=fd tv://Scroll with middle mouse button to change channel.

I won't help much, but I used to watch TV with tvtime.

thank you guys for your replies. Yes, mplayer works great, without that green lines and with good colors. I even tried several wrappers, such as KMplayer, SMPlayer. But you know, it looks like I found a workaround and did not fix the problem, just running from it.
As for tvtime - I've read description on it's page and seems it works with video capture cards. I do not have one. What i have is UDP stream with encoded video. Kubuntu's xine decodes it correctly, but Arch's does not.
