When I'm playing this one game, sometimes I right click then left click really fast to jump and shoot and it thinks I am pressing the middle button. I have a middle button, so there is no reason to emulate it by pressing the right and left buttons at the same time.

What game? Is it only in that game or does it happen other places too?
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

The game is sauerbraten, it doesn't matter what game though because I just want to disable middle mouse button emulation altogether. I have a middle mouse button, so I don't need emulation.

Like the blog post stqn linked to says, middle mouse button emulation is off by default now. I had to explicitly enable it. Check whatever means you have to configure the mouse (xorg.conf, files in xorg.conf.d/, if you use them - gnome control center or other DE control panel) it must be activated somewhere. If it's not, try disabling it explicitly: in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf add this line to the first InputClass section:
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false"

I added that option to both the xorg.conf file and the 10-evdev.conf file and it still is activated. I can't find anywhere where it would be, any other ideas?
Edit: I checked the bottom of the 10-evdev.conf file, and it had a line that turned it back on so its fixed now, thanks.
Edit 2: uhh how do you mark as solved?
