Bash alternative to 200-line kernel patch

Does this sound reasonable?  And would we use /dev or /sys/fs?

Re: Bash alternative to 200-line kernel patch

Tried, it works as expected using /dev
On a terminal i started 32 session of cpuburn in background; as expected an htop launched from the same session  toke more than five seconds to show up.
On another terminal it loaded almost instantly.
