The repo on spiralinear, radeon.db.tar.gz is broken, it has a reference to libdrm-git from Nov 18th, but the .xz package is not there.

I manage to get my hd5770 somewhat working (the kwin effects are a bit laggy) with the -git packages (from nightly).
I was going to try gallium but I failed According to the first page instruction I have to install everything plus mesa-full-gallium but that doesn't change anything.

Hi everyone, first post here on the ArchLinux forum!
I have installed the packages from the radeon repository (something from the nightly because were not on the x86-64 repo).
Everything is working well, the desktop experience is even smoothier than with fglrx: i'm amazed of the progress of this open source driver, huge thanks to everyone involved in developing and here on the forums!
The only problem is that I need to build the driver for my wireless card (rtl8192se_pci), but i fail, probably because i don't have the kernel headers for the drm kernel.
I'm a noob about this kernel stuff, never built a custom kernel before. I have to compile the kernel from source and add the kernel header or there is a workaround and continue using the binary from the radeon repo? Meanwhile i can stick with the stock kernel, but i want to try the new one.

I loaded the kernel you provided in the repo, but kept forgetting to check if radeon module was loaded. As soon as I loaded it, thing apparently started to work.
I'm off to set-up power management now and some other stuff... (dual monitor configs etc ...)

I noticed that the radeon kernel (2.6.36-rc8) is buggy... sometimes, randomly, kernel freezes into "kernel panic", even if no activity is going on... take a look at this screenshot:

Try running " mcelog --ascii < /var/log/mcelog" and post the results here.
Sorry I have no mcelog... and I don't think my cpu is dying, it happens only with radeon kernel and never with Arch stock kernel. :-/

I'll ask an admin at spiralinear to have a look. But really, I don't think the problem is on our side. The forum has been working without a hiccup for quite some time now.

Can someone help me with this issue? Nothing with OpenGL works. I have Radeon x1650 Pro (RV530) with the open-source video drivers. The graphical output of glxgears is black nothingness, just like other applications, and it doesn't report FPS into the console, only this at starting it:

That's a warning and should only decrease the performance. But normally this message should not appear anymore: the IRQ feature was implemented a few kernel versions ago. Maybe it is connected with the agp-error.
Are you using the stock kernel from the core repo?

What do I need to do to use gallium for wine32 if Im 64bit?
