I took the OCZ Vertex 2 with a fresh installation of Arch x86_64 from my server and did this:
#dd if=/dev/sdd of=/dev/dm-0
It created all of the partitions, I can mount them using the dm-1, dm-2, etc. I even get a grub menu, then after selecting the grub line it can't find the disk by uuid. I made sure that it was the same as the one listed in /dev/disk/by-uuid/dm-2
Now I guess I'll try to reinstall using the /dev/ labeling scheme instead of uuid, then dd sda1 to my first RAID0 partition, then dd the MBR to the MBR of the RAID0.
If not then I'll try to install grub on a flash drive.
Ugh........

Well installing grub on an sdcard and using that for boot works. It's quite ghetto, but hey it works. I'm sick and tired of messing with this. I have a slightly better USB drive coming from newegg soon so I'm going to just dd that sd card out so I don't have to use any adapters.

I'm getting great results in phoronix test suite. I'm very satisfied.
