[SOLVED] Having a Problem With My Laptop's Trackpad

Just installed Arch today and got Gnome up and running. Whenever I am in Gnome and using my trackpad my cursor jumps to the edge of the screen inexplicably. This only happens when I lift my finger from the trackpad and it only happens about seventy-five percent of the time. I saw in the wiki page for synaptics that there wasn't a patch yet but I figured I'd check here for a fix. Thanks.

Can you use an external mouse to see if the problem occurs too?
