[SOLVED] vlc sound stutters after running firefox

vlc works fine before I start up firefox, but if I am watching a video on vlc, then start firefox, the sound on vlc will stutter like every 2 seconds, I have to reboot in order to fix the issue.

I am using the newest packages, the pulseaudio sound drivers, and configure the sound drivers with gstreamer, I have also tried using ALSA but that didn't solve the problem either, I have an Intel sound card.

I did a google search but the only result I could find was the same issue but on windows, and nobody posted a solution anyways.

Anyone have this issue?

Edit: I was testing some things and noticed that this issue occurs if I use firefox to listen to something, like on youtube or something. I then have to either reboot or restart pulseaudio to make it so the sound wont stutter on vlc.

Edit 2: lol I found the solution with more digging, I needed to install vlc-pulse from the AUR - http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=25257
After doing that the sound stutters stopped, I guess I can leave this up for people with in the future that have similar problems to find.

Do you have the daemon alsa in your /etc/rc.conf file?

no, because I don't use alsa, I know there are reasons behind it but I can't quite recall them now >_> it had to do with some tweaking I did some months back to allow multiple programs to use sound at the same time

This also happens using Rhythmbox, when using Firefox sound will stutter slightly.

PLEASE tell people how you resolve something before closing the post...
