[SOLVED]changing tty settings

Ok so sorry if this is incorrectly named but iv been trying to familiarize myself with Linux. I figured out you could change, i guess you could call it text, in tty to something then default and i was wondering where the config files were that held <hostname here> login: and then Password:

iv looked around the filesystem and couldnt find anything and im not sure what exactly this text is called so google has been no help so iv resorted to asking here. anyone know where this is held?

nope, idk how to really describe it but when you boot up your greeted to arch linux <kernal name> <ttyx> and then it says below it xxx login: and your sopostu enter in your username and then it brings you to a field that says Password: and it wants your password to logon. where is the config file that holds what makes it say login and password?
