Kernel recommending me to upgrade mesa and xf86-video-ati

I just saw this one rolling by in my logfile:

Mar 22 01:41:52 bacchus kernel: You have old & broken userspace please consider updating mesa & xf86-video-ati

Now, I did recently switch to cairo-compmgr.
So is this simply trying to pull off something the kernel or DRI does not fancy?
Not that I am worried, probably just a warning for something I cant find, other than someone mentioning a resize problem that was patched in Mesa 7.7 (which I run :+ ).
Anybody else noticed this one?

I tracked this message down in the kernel code and its not too much to worry about. The next release of the drivers should fix it but until then I'd just ignore it.

Re: Kernel recommending me to upgrade mesa and xf86-video-ati

Bump.
Driver update indeed fixed part of it.

The message changed to just:
"You have old & broken userspace please consider updating mesa"

Running mesa from the stable rep, which has 7.8.2 at the moment of writing.
3D is running great, so i'm still not worried by this at all. Just updating this smile

Are there any news on this issue? I still see this message and it's November 2010 smile
