Boot issue

Hello

I'm trying to reinstall Arch on my netbook, but I get this weird error when I try to boot the .iso.

sd 3:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk
ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds...
     Falling back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
[ramfs /]#

What is wrong, and how do I fix it? I'm booting the 2010.05 i686 netinstall iso from a usb stick, using unetbootin.

There's not much to config. I can change the boot device order, but that's about it.

My 2010 iso had no such option, so I downloaded the 2009 image, and selected "Boot Arch Linux Live CD [Legacy IDE, no SATA]". But still the same result.
Not sure if this is what you're talking about, and if not, well... There's a reason I'm posting in the Newbie corner big_smile

... i mean in bios.

you should check on bios as disk are recognized
i have an acer 1410 (specifically a clone of this) and using ahci the boot disk don't recognize the HD, setting to ide is properly detected

Well, as I said, the only thing I can change in the bios is the boot device order.
