Shared /home partition

I have installed Arch on a separate drive and wish to share /home partition with Ubuntu [until Arch is completely set up!]

Reading up on the subject it seems its a bad idea, would adding a new user help?

Re: Shared /home partition

It might be a good idea to use two separate users for each, as Arch and Ubuntu have different versions of same programs, which may lead to conflicts.
Other than that, there shouldn't be any problem. users are separated, and have no influence on each other.
Unless you delete other user, of course, but that's another story. smile

Re: Shared /home partition

Think a new user will help, once everything is how I want it then I will remove Ubuntu from my system...
