[SOLVED] Kile not working anymore

Together with dropbox, kile stopped working yesterday.

I get this:

KCrash: Application 'kile' crashing...

The only kde packages I have installed are

local/kdebase-runtime 4.5.4-1 [19.41 MB]
    KDE Base Runtime Environment

    KDE Core Libraries
local/kile 2.1b4-1 [11.77 MB]
    A user friendly TeX/LaTeX frontend for KDE.

    The multimedia API for KDE4

I googled but couldn't really find a solution. Can anyone interpret this error message and tell me what's going on?

Have you run out of disk space?

No, but on checking I did notice something weird in my df output. Turns out there was a problem with my /var/tmp being mounted with the wrong permissions. I remounted it and all is working again! Thanks for the indirect guidance

Ah... same thing! If you can not write to a filesystem then it is full
