xbattbar problem [solved]

Have anyone successfully installed xbattbar?
I am trying to make it available in the AUR but I get this error when I run it:

This is xbattbar version 1.4.2, copyright (c)1998-2001 Suguru Yamaguchi
Segmentation fault

When I start it as root I don't get the error but it doesn't start.

xbattbar can be downloaded here:

Any suggestions why this error occurs?

SOLVED:
Realized APM isn't a part of the kernel.
Earlier FreeBSD user.
