Hello,
Ive been using Arch on my dell inspiron 1500.It uses b43 for the wireless.I use wicd to connect. Its all good except lately when doing a pacman -Syu or using transmission or anytime downloading a large file as soon as the DL speed goes above 1mb a sec I get kicked off line and have to reconnect.Any Ideas. Thanks in advance

Is your signal strength adequate? You may experience speed reductions and dropouts with marginal wifi signal strength.
Use: "sudo iwlist wlan0 scan" to show text-based signal strengths and report back...

The wireless router is about 4' away on the other side of a wall.It only cuts out when downloading a large file and the dl speed goes above 1 MB a second.
