open the asx and pls files.. there are direct links to the streams.
those you can put in m3u files and place them in your playlist directory

you have open the .pls with text editor and copy the ip to ncmpcpp
edit:always too slow

When I add IP to the NCMPCPP it can't be played (It is ignored to play).
When I type mpc play ip I got 2 errors:
error parsing song numbers from: ip
ERROR: problems decoding "ip"

hi
I know it's been said twice here but I just went over to that site and I can play the streams ok with ncmpcpp. Try putting this (that's from the techhouse.pls file)
http://72.26.204.18:6354
into a file and save it as, let's say, techhouse.m3u in your mpd playlist folder -
~/.mpd/playlists
in my case. Then select this in ncmpcpp (F3) and that should be it.
Good luck. Btw, this techhouse channel is not that bad

Go andpick one url, e.g.
http://scfire-dtc-aa01.stream.aol.com:80/stream/1003
and save it as a .m3u playlist, like I said in my first post. All these links in the .pls file refer to the same stream, so it doesn't really matter which one you pick. It does work.

btw.. the next mpd release will have native pls support and probably much more. (possibly asx and even m3uext).
pls support is already working in mpd-git

Didn't try with mpc. I meant, placing pls into playlist dir won't work. But placing m3u - works. Anyway, teacha's (aforementioned) method works.
EDIT> we with Rasi figured out, that it was ncmpcpp's fault (not recognizing pls in the playlist dir)

Told virus_found on irc already, just so that everyone reading this thread knows it too:
mpd does see the pls files in your playlist folder. Its the clients that are missing support for it. AFAIK mpc and gmpc are the only ones that work. ncmpc might work too, but i am not sure. ncmpcpp seems to miss support by now.
