[SOLVED] AwesomeWM: Fails to login

A search of the recent posts didn't show a problem like this one.

I have both Openbox and Awesome installed. I'm using SLiM as the login manager. When I log in and choose Awesome as the WM, I briefly see a screen that says "failed to execute login command" and then I'm returned to the login screen.

This happened after an update on Monday, but I had rebooted at least once since the update with no problems, so I didn't think that was it.

'awesome -k' reports the rc.lua in working order.

What follows is a hopefully relevant portion of /var/log/slim.log. Any suggestions as to what to look at are appreciated.

Try rebuilding awesome.

I suppose I should have mentioned that I already tried that.

Anyway, I've just now tried it, to no avail.

Well, then. I copied the default rc.lua over and tried to log in, and it works. So something must be wrong with my rc.lua after all. I'll proceed from here; thanks for playing along.
