Hi all,
I have a archmobile distro running on my n900 in chroot, and I have been looking left and right to get a browser binary (preferably) somewhere that will allow me to surf the web. So far, no luck.
Searching the forums here did not yield any success whatsoever, so, if someone in the know could give me some pointers, that would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Anthonie

Thnx for the reply!
However, when I insert
[build]
Server = http://repo.archmobile.org/$CARCH/build
and replace $CARCH with arm, ARM or even $ARM/$arm, i get an error.
Not found, failed retrieving file build..db.tar.gz from repo.archmobile.org
Before I had tried to install abs, which failed as well.
Any pointers?
Regards,
A

http://repo.archmobile.org/ - take a look at the repo dir structure: the 'build' dir exists only for i686 and x86_64
http://repo.archmobile.org/i686/build/
http://repo.archmobile.org/x86_64/build/
For ARM architecture you have core & extra: http://repo.archmobile.org/arm/

No browser in the arm repo or am I missing something.
I did see gcc and make. Do you think that's enough to build something from source?
Once again, thanks for the pointers here. Much appreciated!

I've already told you I don't see any browsers there. You need to build all the packages needed, like xulrunner for firefox etc.
You need those on i686:
[karol@black ~]$ pacman -Sg base-devel
base-devel autoconf
base-devel automake
base-devel bison
base-devel fakeroot
base-devel flex
base-devel gcc
base-devel libtool
base-devel m4
base-devel make
base-devel patch
base-devel pkg-config
I'm not really versed in cross-compiling.

Will try that route although it's not preferred to cross-compile.
