Hello,
I have a little problem I can't resolve. Here is the situation :
I used gnome for a while then i moved to kde (with KDM). For somedays, it worked perfectly then after a reboot i couldn't load my session anymore - I type my username and password then it loads, a black screen and finaly i'm back to kdm.
I tried to remove the ".kde" and the ".kde4" folders but it wasn't successful. I tried to log in with GDM and it worked. Why ?
Then i tried to make a new account (new user) and i can log in with KDM with this account.
I don't know if this happened to someone ?
I would like to use my account with KDM. How can i resolve this ?
Thanks,
Kevin

Already try to login for failsafe session? try to choose Kde-plasma failsafe before you login.

I also have this same problem. It says "Can't connect to D-Bus server: " and something about open desktop. The weird thing is that this is on multiple fresh installations and dbus/hal/evdev are all installed and running. Gnome, e17, and anything else works fine. It's just KDE that doesn't work.
EDIT:
Found a temp-solution to this problem:

I found out why. I installed zsh and in my .bashrc i added : exec zsh
When i removed it, the problem had gone...
