ways to sync ipod touch

I read that Ubuntu has ipod touch syncing capability out-of-the-box. Since the ifuse way in archwiki does not definitely work, is there a wiki to use "ubuntu's way" in our arch? I can mount the ipod, automount it even with the help of the wiki, but amarok nor other player recognize it, neither gtkpod is capable of syncing it..
