Conky + Plasma

Hi,

I've got conky working under KDE with real transparency, but if I click on the plasma desktop, conky gets hidden below the desktop. Is there anyway to fix this?

How should I know if it works? That's what beta testers are for. I only coded it.

own_window_transparent yes
own_window_hints undecorate,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager,below

Re: Conky + Plasma

That hasn't fixed the problem.

Re: Conky + Plasma

I thought that was for making Conky have a transparent background, my problem is that plasma gets put in-front of it and so conky disappears behind plasma. Maybe there is a kwin/conky option you can set for this?

Re: Conky + Plasma

Try to override conky settings with kwin.

Also I was using conky with kde some time ago. I will check if I kept conky configs and will let you know about solution (if any) tonight.

Re: Conky + Plasma

Changing the settings in kwin didn't seem to make any difference hmm

Re: Conky + Plasma

I was not expecting this will help. I'm glad big_smile

P.S. Though, there may be some undesired effects, if you decided to use conky in panel mode.
