r8168..can PING but browser doesn't show

hey guys..
after bios update (asus m7a44T)
lspci shows RTL8111/RTL8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev03)
.downloaded version 8.020.00 from
http://218.210.127.131/downloads/downlo … /RTL8111DP
and installed: it says module r8168 is loaded.
ifconfig shows eth0 and dhcpcd works with giving the interface an ip.
also my router sees the pc.
ping does work as well to lan pc's as to google.com.
only my browser window (chromium and also firefox) doesnt shows any website. it just says page not found
anybody knows a solution

sounds like you have a DNS problem

wouldn't it then be able either to ping www.google.com? cause i am able to do that
