Twinview with gnome issue

On my laptop when I used Ubuntu I used to add a second monitor now and again for coding and work across two monitors

Now when I did this the wallpaper was stretched across both screens which was perfect as I had some dual display wallpapers.

I just tried to do the same on my desktop but the wallpaper duplicates on both monitors instead of stretching across the two.

I know its being a bit picky but I can't seem to get the wallpaper to stretch across both. All the threads I see are from people with the opposite problem.

Any ideas?

EDIT#1: Found a launchpad bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/521492

EDIT#2: I know about but do NOT want to use (for lack of functionality) Option "NoTwinViewXineramaInfo" "boolean" in xorg.conf
