I tried to install the 32bit flash plugin in firefox as per this wiki page here : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … bit_System
When I issue the command to install flashplugin via pacman, I get :
error: 'flashplugin': could not find or read package
Even when I issue Pacman -S nspluginwrapper, I get the same(above) error.
Also I tried copying 64bit flash plugin downloaded from adobe into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins but it doesn't shows up in about:plugins. I searched the forum & found a thread on flash plugin installation but do not want to go through the hectic way of compiling via AUR.

If you don't want to install a native 64-bit flashplugin from AUR (flashplugin-prerelease) then enable multilib repo in /etc/pacman.conf and install 32-bit flashplugin by a simple command
pacman -Syu flashplugin

Thank you dogmeat. Silly me, when I edited the pacman.conf for the first time, I removed the # in front of the Include line but not from the front of the Multilib. That's why i was unable to install it.

The 64 version from aur seems to work pretty stable and is a lot faster then the 32bit version from multilib. I would highly suggest to use it! http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32072

I concur, I've had no issues using the 64 bit package. I got mine from the unofficial [archlinuxfr] repo
