"He" is in fact a "she". Carla Schroder is the author of O'Reilly's outstanding "Linux Cookbook" and "Linux Networking Cookbook".

I agree that Arch is one of my favorite distributions of all time but I feel that Arch's best feature is it's simple / lightweight approach to packages installed rather than Ubuntu installing everything of a 4+ GB DVD. Either way we win because Arch is hands down the most amazing distribution.

Ubuntu comes only in a 700 megabyte cd..
There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

Yes, or as an usb-installer. And it's easy to install the server-version which comes without all the DE-software, so it's not really fair to call Ubuntu bloated by definition.
