Help adding battery widget to wibox in Awesome3?

I'm not very familiar with widgets, where the different pieces of code go and such, so would anyone mind helping me out here? I'm trying to add this widget to my wibox: https://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Gigamo_Battery_Widget

Where do I put the function, and where do I put the hook? I suppose in my rc.lua, but where in my rc.lua?

I aplologize if I should've been able to figure this out by myself, but please bear with me..
