Roxterm stopped working on my desktop. I'm not sure when this occured (I don't use it daily) but I get this error:
$ roxterm
** (roxterm:13901): CRITICAL **: The new terminal's command failed to run: Failed to execute child process "-bash" (No such file or directory)
Any cause or solution known?

There's probably a bug in the latest roxterm. In the meantime disabling the login shell let you use the terminal.

Hmmm, how do I disable the login shell? I know xterm -ls starts a terminal with a login shell, but roxterm doesn't have an option to disable or enable a login shell (at least not according to 'man' and '--usage').
Just to have all relevant information on this error in this thread, this issue is or seems to be with Roxterm 1.20.1.

You can edit your default profile (usually $HOME/.config/roxterm.sourceforge.net/Profiles) and put login_shell to 0. For example:
sed -i 's/login_shell.*$/login_shell=0/' $HOME/.config/roxterm.sourceforge.net/Profiles/Default
Alternatively, run roxterm-config and do the same in the GUI way.

Works like a charm.
Thanks for the replies!

A last note: the login shell support has been fixed yesterday and it will work again with the latest release (roxterm 1.20.2).
