Control application sound level? (in KDE)

I want to be able to adjust sound level from different applications which are running. I am using KDE and can't seem to find this feature in Kmix.

I also saw Veromix on KDE-Look http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ve … ent=116676   -- Have anyone used it? Or what can you recommend instead?

You would have to use oss or pulse for that.

Haven't used veromix myself, but it seems to do what you want it to.

Re: Control application sound level? (in KDE)

install pulseaudio, restart.  If you have the latest KDE install it should pick it up and using it after the restart.  Then you can start controlling sound from multiple apps using kmix.  I just went through this not two days ago smile

Re: Control application sound level? (in KDE)

This is what I got after installing pulseaudio ( sudo pacman -S pulseaudio ) and rebooting

Old options are gone ( like the center, left, right etc or for mic). And there is not option for adjusting application sound level.

Maybe I installed something wrong? Is pulseaudio in official repository?

"Playback Streams" will show you per-application volume control............. it's just the 3rd tab

Kdar you are on the right track, you control the per-app volume control within the playback stream tab.

Re: Control application sound level? (in KDE)

ok. thanks. Everything works great for me now. I had a little problem with flash but I had to install libflashsupport-pulseaudio or some package like this.
