I installed the firefox that pacman offered me when i asked it to isntall firefox (i forgot which repo it came from, it was the "default" one though). Now it looks like this:
Notice the dark horizontal lines running across the entire window? They annoy me so much.
Is this caused by the branding issue? And more importantly, is there any way to change it?

Change the gtk-theme to one that you like

You can find GTK themes in the repos and the AUR. You can also get them from gnome-look.
Some themes require specific theme engines. You can find those in the repos and the AUR too.

There is a neat extension for Firefox which lets you use Oxygen themes (or at least make your firefox to look like that) with some default color schemes, it also includes some tweaks to make Firefox look more KDE-ish (or Konqueror-ish if you like)
It is found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/addon/59338/
Also if you use the default oxygen theme you may want to try this persona:
https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/addon/31586/
You may also want to try this theme (or engine or whatever)
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ox … ent=136216
This can be enabled somewhere in the KDE settings manager under GTK appearance.

I use Stylish for firefox. It lets you use css for firefox's appearance.

Thanks for the great replies. I am now using the theme zyxon mentioned along with some stylish scripts and it no longer looks revolting.
