As i got a laptop and a computer, i'd like to know if i can achieve the following:
PC: Running Arch Linux + KDE
Laptop: Running Kubuntu
In fact i'd like to be able to configure my second virtual desktop on my computer to be running on my laptop.
To be clear: most people do it by adding a second screen, but i only have a laptop to use as second screen...
Do you understand? Is this possible?
Kind regards, Warren.

@op - interesting, if I understand you correctly, you want to have a dual head system on your PC using your laptop's monitor? So if you set them up like this:
[PC] [Laptop]
With the PC on the left and the laptop on the right, you want to have one continuous desktop from left to right such that programs can be moved from screen #1 to screen #2? Or if you move the mount from left to right it'll flow from PC --> Laptop? If so, VNC won't do that. I don't know if anything can do that; never tried before. Does the laptop have a video in?

Not sure if that is exactly what you're looking for, but maybe it is an interesting option for you: http://synergy-foss.org/

Xdmx is meant for this, you'll need to run a normal X server on both your laptop and PC, and then on your PC you need to start an Xdmx server which connects to both normal X servers (and combines them using xinerama). Then you can just run your DE on the Xdmx server.
It should work, but I never got it working, due to some bugs in Xorg xinerama (which got triggered by every Qt app.), but I think this bug should be fixed by now.
