arch linux virtualbox guest cannot find virtual cd drive

I'm trying to install the VirtualBox Guest Additions in an Arch Linux guest on an Ubuntu host. I clicked "Install Guest Additions" and VirtualBox mounted the cd, and according to the instructions in the wiki, I should run:

mount /media/cdrom

However, I get an error of

mount: can't find /media/cdrom in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

when I run this, and I can't progress any further. Any ideas? My /media directory only has a "cd" "dvd" and "fl" folder in it, if that means anything. Thanks!

I just made it work a different way, actually. Installing from the repos seemed to be the quickest way to get this up and running, so that's working for me now.

how do you do it ? could you please explain me more detail, I got very confused with this messages
