[SOLVED] macbook air 3,2 keyboard input issue

Hi! i have been trying to efi boot arch64 on my new macbook air since i got it, following this thread ive finally managed to boot it using the noefi and fakebios kernel parameters.. only problem is i cant input anything from my keyboard (i get to the login)! this being the case im pretty stumped.. if anyone had any ideas it would be greatly appreciated!
the complete set of kernel parameters sent to boot are:

/boot/vmlinuz26 ro root=/dev/sda3 rootfstype=ext4 video=efifb reboot=pci noefi fakebios

the partition scheme (from my now very tired head):

/dev/sda1 - 200mib EFI partition (EF00)
/dev/sda2 - 4gib swap (8200)
/dev/sda3 - 11gib ext4 (0700), root
/dev/sda4 - 90-something gib ext4 (0700), home

ive been using archlinux-2010.10-1-archboot.iso for the installation and grub2-efi-bzr as the bootloader.

edit:
added the code tags

Update:
Just realized that i hadnt tried with a usb-keyboard, didnt work thou.
according to the internet this patch needs to be applied to the kernel for the keyboard to work, does anybody know if it is (to 2.6.36)? according to the same intertube its applied to the debian kernel >= 2.6.32..

Update II:
i can now boot without any bios-partition or emulation using grub2 (skodabenz's package) and kernel 2.6.37-rc8 with the following patches:
physical mode efi - just used the raw diff and patch -p1
mba3 hid support - for the keyboard
mba3 alsa support - sound (dunno if it works yet tho)
there was a whole bunch of patches for the mba3's, but some of them are more or less included in the 2.6.37-rc8 kernel.. ill try looking into it more as soon as i get my system up and running.

Re: [SOLVED] macbook air 3,2 keyboard input issue

Not sure how helpful it is but I was able to install using Archboot 2010.12 and rEFIt (booting as legacy OS option) and the keyboard worked fine. Wiped it out and trying to get a tri-boot running and have to EFI boot and am now running into this same issue.

then were in the exact same boat! also had it booting fine when using refit but after wiping it craped out.. anywho, atm im trying to apply this patch to the 2.6.37-rc6 kernel to see if it makes any difference (the new kernel that is, the patch is just to be able to boot without the noefi and fakebios kargs).

Re: [SOLVED] macbook air 3,2 keyboard input issue

tiny update here, applying the patch to kernel 2.6.37-rc7 enabled me to boot it without the noefi and fakebios kargs! still no keyboard tho..
