GRUB troubles

I just updated GRUB, and of course it is necessary to reinstall GRUB to the HD to complete the update... So, I type 'grub', hit enter, and...

My computer wrote:

grub> root (hd0,0)

Error 21: Selected disk does not exist

Which, of course, is a load of crap. I have 3 partitions: boot & root (/dev/hda1),  swap (/dev/hda2), and /home (/dev/hda3). So of course (hd0,0) exists! What's going on?

Try the find command. You can cut "boot" from the path if it won't work for the first time.
